The inspiration for this project was Italo Calvino's book "Invisible Cities", in which he describes imaginary cities through conversations between Marco Polo and Kublai Khan. This is the city Zenobia, a gloomy place hidden amongst bamboo. Once a fisherman's town, the glacier on top of the nearby mountain is dying and the river has run dry making it hard for the citizens to survive.
